Microsoft Office
This consists of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Access. Introductory courses are available for all these applications. Additionally, intermediate and advanced level courses are available in Word, and intermediate, advanced and expert level courses in the important applications of Excel and Access.
We also have trainers who can offer courses in Microsoft Publisher, Frontpage, Visio and Project. (top)
Macromedia Web Design
Macromedia publishes a number of web design products. The current version of these is designated as MX 2004.
Dreamweaver
This is Macromedia's flagship web design product. We offer a two-day introductory course, and a one-day intermediate course. The intermediate course offers detailed skills training in Cascading Style Sheets.
Our very popular advanced Dreamweaver course (2 days) explains how to create dynamic, database driven sites. This course can be taught with a number of models: ASP3 (VBScript or JavaScript, using Access for training, but covering theuse of MS SQL Server), ColdFusion (using Access for training as ASP3) and, our most popular option, PHP with MySQL. We can also offer consultancies using the ASP.NET (VB) model. (top)
Flash
We offer two courses in this popular Rich Media Application. A basic two-day design course, and a two-day introduction to ActionScripting. (top)
Fireworks
We offer a one-day introduction to web graphics using Fireworks. (top)
Web Development Coding
We can offer coding courses (usually two-day) in the following technologies - HTML, JavaScript, ASP3 (VBScript), PHP/MySQL. We can also offer a one-day standalone course on "MySQL databases for web development". (top)
Bespoke Applications
Bespoke applications are very useful to organisations, but the clever people who have written the application may not be the best trainers to explain how it is used. Our experienced trainers pick up new applications quickly. We can therefore offer a unique service, where we learn the application, write a course for you, and deliver it to your staff. Where possible, we work closely with the organisation, and the application developers, on the design of these courses. (top)
